Cool Hand Uke performs on a 1928 Wendall Hall Professional Model banjo-ukulele manufactured by Ludwig, and on a spruce-top mahogany concert ukulele by Kala.

Cool Hand Uke and The Strum Bums have performed monthly since 1999 at Sierra View Manor Assisted Living Home, Spring Hill Convalescent Home, Helping Hands Alzheimer's Support Center and Crystal Ridge Convalescent Home; quarterly at Empire Convalescent Home as well as at other senior centers, benefits, schools and county fairs throughout the year. They also have been featured at festivals in New York City, Santa Cruz CA, Auburn CA, and twice at the Honolulu HI International Ukulele Festival.
